I play tuba, and baritone but I always wanted to learn bass guitar. Any suggestions on how to get started and any tools you could recommend?

I play percussion right now. So like.. What are some good brands? Good books? Is there online instruction?

Im a drummer starting out. i know how to play AC/DC songs, thoughs are too easy. anybody thats a drummer want to help me become a rock hard drummer. I really like the rock stuff like blink-182, switchfoot, and yellowcard. I also like metallica but i dont think i could play that yet. please help if you can.
