It depends on how efficient and how many hours you would be able to practice. If you are serious about it and practiced every day for 30 min to 1 hour you may be able to play some basic Beethoven and Mozart after a year at about the grade 2/3 level. You must make sure you are well rounded about what you learn (music theory, ear training, sight reading and technique i.e. scales). Most people advance a piano grade per year just like school, so to really play the good stuff will take you 5+ years if you are starting as a beginner. Find a good teacher and tell them your goal and they will help you work towards it.

The piano is easy to “play” since its just pressing the keys to create the sound…The piano is “easy” to play but “hard” to master…It depends on each individual and how much he/she is willing to dedicate her time to it…

Honestly, you are young and see pretty motivated. With the right resources you can learn in no time. The great thing about the internet these days is that you can find great lessons online if you know where to look. Well you are in luck… go to and there you will find everthing piano related you will need to become a successful piano player. Oh and did I mention that everything is absolutely FREE on there! Good luck! =)
