I've really wanted to play it for some time now. I too played an instrument, the drums, for a few years. I know the guitar is probably one of the most complex things to learn how to play. And as of the cost, I see a lot of people are saying acoustics price around 100 to about anything. But, during the holiday, you can get a cheap guitar from anywhere around 60 to any price really. Now as hard to play, it just gonna depend on you how serious you are about. But I think you should go for it, like you said you already know music. The basics will take you a few weeks and will use some muscles etc. that you haven't used before. A decent student guitar can be found for around $100 - $150.
