How can i learn how to play this on the keyboard?

jerseygirl asked:

i’ve pretty much taught myself how to play the keyboard by using memory and i can read music if i write down the letters of the notes and stuff. i learned how to play the right side of You Are the Moon by The Hush Sound well enough that i can play along with the song. i can do the left side, but only slowly so that i can find the chords. like i can’t play along with the side. the only thing is, how can i learn to play them together? should i know each side really well and put them together or learn them at the same time? any tips?

Break the parts down, slowly put them together. You can’t think for both hands. They have to work together to form one smooth operation.

I’ve been playing keyboard for years.
And I find the best way is to practice them slow together.
Don’t try to splice them into one another, it won’t work, at all.
If you can’t do this, learn something slower and easier with both hands.
It’s a hard barrier to break, beleive me, and lots of people have trouble with it.
    Just practice, practice, practice. :)
