What are some good Rock Riffs I can learn on Electric Guitar?

King W asked:

I can play the following
Crazy Train
Back in Black
Sweet Child O Mine intro
Hells Bells
Enter Sandman

So you see, I can play a lot of the easy songs, but am looking for some for songs, with really good solos and riffs.

Please note I only got my electric last week, however I have been playing guitar for about 3 years, on my acoustic

start learning some of the harder metallica songs.
also avenged sevenfold, atreyu, other metal bands usually have really strong hard riffs which sound awesome when you play them to your friends.

    hope it helps.

Here’s a Beginner’s Songs Program by the guys at ultimate-guitar.com

There, you can click on Guitar Songs and search for whatever you want. But basically, users submit songs that they want, and rate them on their difficulty(Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). They can also leave comments on what parts of the song are easy, etc. Just search a song or artist and the song link you click on will have a link to the tabs on the Ultimate Guitar website, which is the best site for tabs that I know.

One thing: the amount of songs submitted is whatever the users want to submit, so you will have to bare with the website because not all songs will be submitted.

    Hey Man,

It really depends on what type of music you like to play but as you have been playing acoustic for a while, I recommend the following:

    1. “Smoke on the Water”- Deep Purple (classic :D )
    2. “Black Dog”- Led Zeppelin (It has a really cool and easy riff that sounds nice on acoustic also)
    3. “Voodoo Child”- Jimi Hendrix (It can be tough but it is fun to play!)
    4. “Mary Jane’s Last Dance”- Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (This is one of the first songs I ever learned!)
    5. “Sweet Home Alabama”- Lynyrd Skynyrd (Really cool lick)
    6. “Drive my Car”- The Beatles and/or “Lady Madonna” (good Beatles songs!)
