If you search on YouTube, you’ll find TONS of videos, teaching guitar techniques and chords. Totally free!

I started guitar in march of 2008. Now, about 10 months later, i have never taken a lesson but (in my opinion and in the opinion of a bunch of other people) I now sound pretty darn good and am now dabbling in finger picking (which is really cool). I learned everything I have learned off the internet and a few family members that have been playing a while (although not that much from the family members). the main site that I used when i was just starting out was… (put this in ur address bar and go to this site and u’ll find 11 lessons that will get you going. take your time.)
I only went to about lesson 3 or 4, but by then I knew the stuff really well and was able to go on my own. Hope that helps!
