Ain’t no such thing as a quick and easy to learn to play a musical instrument!!! Although the Bass Guitar is probably as easy an instrument to pick up quickly but only if you keep it simple……No fancy slap technique just 12 bar blues!

WOW… you mean like in a day or two… or before the week-end… well… it can’t be done… Learning any musical instrument is NOT quick and NOT easy… it TAKES EFFORT… if you want quick and easy then stick to that children’s Guitar Hero toy.

If that’s the only reason for attempting to learn how to play, I suggest you find another way. There is no such thing as a quick, and easy way.

If the ONLY reason you want to learn is to impress a girl, I suggest you try something else, like wearing really cool clothes, or buying a really hot car.
Learning to play a musical instrument takes months and months (and years if you’re really serious about it); it takes a passion and commitment to hone and develop your skills.
Wanting to impress someone else is a very poor motivation.

Learning an instrument to impress one girl isn’t really a very good reason to do it. Learning an instrument to impress dozens of girls, now you’re in the right place.

Some helpful answers so far, huh!?
How to impress a girl with a bass guitar:
1) Put your right thumb on the fattest string. 2) With your first and second fingers of the same hand gently pluck the second fattest string in a “fingers do the walking” type motion. Do this with a steady rhythm, counting in your head “1, 2, 3, 4, 1,2,3,4,” etc. Practice it a bit till you can do it pretty fast, about four notes per second. 3) Let your hair hang in your eyes and nod your head to the rhythm while you do this. 4) With your middle finger of your left hand slide up the same string you’re playing till you get the the fret with two dots behind it. This is the 12 fret. Not all basses have two dots behind the 12th fret, but most do. 5) Alternate between the open string and the 12th fret, while maintaining a steady rhythm with the fingers of your right hand. This works especially well when played through an amp loudly. 6) Tell her it’s a song you’re working on just for her but that it’s not finished yet. Hint that you may name it after her. 7) Clear the bed and start.
Welcome to the world of rock and roll!
Good luck!
